Flame Light

Tis a sudden burst of flavour
A crucial verve of passion
That surges in my very blood
This urgent and pressing need...

To know my God in all His Ways
To follow Hiis Son's teaching
In all that I do
And keep striving for perfection in His Light...

Like a flame in the night
Or the embers of a roaring fire
His Light cuts through the murk of darkness
That is our world today...

Like that light at the end of the tunnel
So does His Light strike our very soul
To fill it with an abandon of love
To renew our hope in The One True God...

This Light I speak of, my brothers
Is a Light filled with warmth and laughter
A Light that is renewed anew with every breath
A Light that lives in the depths of our eternal souls

So like the mystical phoenix
Rising from murky ashes
We too can be renewed in this Light
And so bear witness to God's eternal Kingdom.
